What you'll do
You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:
- You will be responsible for overseeing the Housekeeping Operations to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
- You are responsible to ensure the smooth running of the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department and guide and develop a committed multicultural team to ensure the impeccable Dorchester standards are met in all areas.
- Completes inspections and holds people accountable for corrective action.
- Ensuring guest and colleague satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
- Responsible for the management of the department’s controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals. Understand the impact of department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.

- You will guide, lead and motivate the housekeeping team with passion and commitment.
- You will be responsible for coordinating all recruitment processes, departmental training and disciplinary procedures.
- Liaising with Rooms team to ensure rooms are ready for all arrivals on time and with correct preferences.
- Coordinate with external contractors to ensure scope of work is completed to specified standards and as per standards.
- Ensure cyclical cleaning is scheduled and completed on time as per company guidelines.
- Work with the management team to ensure profitability of the hotel, guest and employee satisfaction is maintained.
- Ensure par stock levels are maintained by scheduled inventories.

- You will have strong leadership skills to be able to develop and guide a multicultural team to ensure exception standards and guest experiences.
- As a detail orientate and hands on Team Player with strong interpersonal skills, you will be able to interact with all departments to ensure a cohesive working environment and to get things done.
- You will be passionate, dynamic and guest focused who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of guest service and provide creative solutions to our guests.
- You will be knowledgeable of PMS, payroll and purchasing systems and be computer literate.
- You will be able to comprehend budgets, P&L statements, payroll and purchasing systems to assist in the financial management of the department.
- Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong guest service ethic.
- English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
- You will have a least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in a luxury 5 star brand, with some pre-opening or major refurbishment experience.
- Middle East experience would be advantageous.
