As an Engineering Supervisor at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will be $34.87 per hour.

A day in the life of our Engineering Supervisors … it demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our Engineering Supervisors accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.

• Perform, delegate, plan and coordinate required repairs, adjustments or replacement of equipment

• Work with vendors, contractors, and other internal departments; give estimates and order materials

• Responsible for completion of all jobs assigned by Management and maintain logbooks

• Responsible to all facility emergencies and coordinate containment and repairs; report on a daily log all operational conditions during shift.

• Ensure completion of assigned closed-out work orders, walk daily route, report and supervise necessary repairs; work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner

• Read and understand blue prints and wiring schematics to install and work on electrical components; understand the layout on the property, hotel rooms, and equipment

• Keep team informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods

• Advise Management of any unusual conditions within the property

• Maintain constant awareness of property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention; able to wear/use personal equipment (p.p.e)

• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

• Lead the team in their daily tasks and assist them when necessary.

• Turn over written shift notes to leadership via e-mail and review with supervision on the next shift.

• Stay overtime during emergency events as necessary

• Report out to MOD/Security as applicable for any property or guest room issues.

• Train and use all Safety protocols – LOTO, Confined Space, ARC Flash, HazMat, Ladder Safety etc.

The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, our Engineering Supervisors are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to but not limited to the following: standing, sitting, squatting, climbing, walking.  Vision is a key element , close vision, distance vision, clarity and color vision are very important. There can be a lot of up close intricate work. A full range of motion is also required, there will be times when crawling, bending , twisting, reaching, working with hands over your head will be needed. There will be pulling and pushing involved of tools and or equipment. There is a need for hand strength, gripping tools, pulling wire, securing ropes etc. Balance and agility are also important. Working on a ladder is also a requirement. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The proper lifting techniques are to be used and proper equipment to be employed.
