Position Overview

What you'll do
A day in the life of our Shift Engineer demands high levels of energy. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the contributions that our Shift Engineer accomplishes would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.
- Our Shift Engineer are responsible for managing repairs, either in person or through subcontractors, respond to daily engineering issues and perform proactive routine maintenance and equipment inspection, being fully aware of Health & Safety legislation.
- Our values of Personality, Passion, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. The purpose of our Handymen is to live their behaviours to continue to create our legacy.
- Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Shift Engineer must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains. Especially through working closely with our Housekeeping teams to provide the best service around our hotel.

- Previous experience in a luxury 5* hotel is beneficial but not essential
ONC /HNC or City & Guilds Building Services qualifications
Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering qualifications
Experience within Building services & controls
Knowledge of BMS controls, heating & air conditioning equipment and the general functioning of equipment such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical and TV controls
Knowledge of Health & Safety and Risk assessments
