What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

  • You will work under the guidance of the Director of People & Culture and Assistant Director of People & Culture
  • You will be responsible for the administration of operational People and Culture activities in order to ensure the smooth functioning of the People and Culture Department.
  • You will ensure that all processes related to Human Resources are in full compliance with the local labor laws and regulations.
  • You will also contribute to the processes and activities that create and promote the Dorchester Collection culture and values bringing the Company Philosophy “We Care” to life to ensure our employees receive nothing but the best experience.
  • Our values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. As a People & Culture Coordinator you’ll have the opportunity to bring these to life and continue to create our legacy.
  • You will work and support as appropriate both the Talent Attraction Manager and Learning & Development Manager in their day to day operational. 
  • You will provide advice and guidance to the employees on Human Resources policies, employee’s requests, staffing issues, and act as an arbitrator where necessary.
  • You will be instrumental in supporting and the implementation of the People & Culture engagement activities and events.
  • It will be critical to maintain an internal communication to engage with the employees behind the hotel’s vision, values, service and operational goals.

What you'll bring

  • You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team.
  • You have a talent for building lasting relationships with internal and external customers and passion for working in hospitality.
  • You are skilled in talent sourcing and able to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and analysis of the situation and trends to develop and apply appropriate strategies.
  • With excellent ability to multi-task and superb time-management skills, you will be great in planning, organizing and implementing various initiatives and events to ensure that our staff are fully engaged at all phases of their employment.
  • You are adaptable to the ideas of different cultures, settings and situations.
  • As a detail orientated and hands on Team Player with strong interpersonal skills, you will thrive on mentoring team members to achieve better results and celebrate success within the team.
  • Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service and business ethic.
  • English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
  • You will have a relevant professional certification or hotel school diploma and bring wealth of past experience working in similar capacity for luxury hotels. Your previous experience in the Middle East will be a competitive advantage.
