What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in the day to day. As a Diversity & Belonging Champion you will:

  • Ensure that all policies and procedures at Dorchester Collection create a diverse and inclusive internal environment for all employees and guest experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on DIB and help to build awareness and competence across the business.
  • You will bring our We Care Philosophy and value to life by managing and driving the global Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Strategy and our guiding pillars, Educate, Communicate, Celebrate.  
  • You will partner with the wider P&C team on the design and implementation of diversity and inclusion best practices pertaining to HR processes and policies, such as, recruitment, data collection and analysis, employee experience and internal comms.
  • You will be responsible for the timely submission of diversity and inclusion audits and assessments, such as Stonewall, the inclusion in EDI Maturity Curve (powered by WiHTL) and the Business Disability Forum (BDF) Disability Assessment.
  • You will analyse global census and survey data to identify underrepresentation and disparities in the experiences of underrepresented groups, developing action plans, supporting goals and targets as well as initiatives to address these challenges.
  • Work with the Dorchester Collection Academy to design, facilitate and deliver diversity and inclusion training. You will also develop other educational materials, such as posters, toolkits, guides, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Support Talent Attraction and Employer Branding Manager in developing inclusive recruitment practices for all 10 hotels and the corporate office.
  • Responsible for the reporting and sharing of all initiatives both in reports and in-person speaking presentations.
  • Our values of, Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. As the DIB Champion, you will have the opportunity to bring these to life and continue to create our legacy.
  • Update internal and external facing DIB material and reports on Dorchester Collection Website and other communication channels.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing action plans and initiatives, providing support to hotels on the implementation of regional plans.
  • You will manage, in partnership with the P&C Specialist, a calendar of core diversity, inclusion and belonging events in the Corporate Office throughout the year and will be responsible for the planning, organisation and execution of events.

What you'll bring

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to take a data-driven approach to diversity and inclusion, using data to inform decision making and measure performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of different cultures, perspectives and identities with an ability to navigate diverse situations and conflicting needs with sensitivity.
  • Effective writing skills with the ability to compose emotive comms and thought-provoking educational pieces.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to create compelling presentations that inspire and engage people.
  • The ability to converse with, engage and influence senior leaders.

Desirable Skills:

  • A background in hospitality with operational experience.
  • Knowledge of Italian and/or French language is beneficial.
  • Data analysis and visualisation techniques.
  • Global knowledge and understanding of DIB in different countries, particularly the regions where we operate (UK, US, France, Italy, UAE, and/or Japan).
  • Experience in designing and creating engaging visual materials using digital tools.
