What you'll do

As an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Bar 45 in 45 Park Lane, you will play a pivotal role in the daily leadership and performance of one of London’s most dynamic and stylish bar experiences. Working closely with the Bar Manager, you’ll support in delivering a seamless operation, an engaged team culture, and an unforgettable guest journey. In this role, you will:

 

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of Bar 45, ensuring excellence in guest service, operational efficiency, and team performance.
  • Support the Bar Manager in monitoring financial performance, controlling costs, and driving revenue to achieve and exceed budgeted targets.
  • Lead and inspire the team, ensuring a consistent five-star guest experience aligned with the service and beverage philosophy of 45 Park Lane.
  • Develop and implement systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Support the recruitment process, identifying and selecting team members who embody the spirit of service and innovation that defines 45 Park Lane.
  • Promote a culture of passion, creativity, and curiosity, motivating the team through daily engagement and identifying individual development opportunities.
  • Deliver hands-on leadership, covering operational shifts when needed and maintaining an exceptional standard of personal guest interaction.
  • Handle guest feedback, special requests, and unexpected challenges with flexibility, composure, and care, ensuring satisfaction at every touchpoint.
     

 

 

You’ll be a key figure in the guest experience and the heartbeat of the Bar 45 team -  helping to lead, develop, and support a venue that is renowned for its elevated atmosphere and five-star service.

What you'll bring

Essential Skills and Experience

  •  Proven experience in a leadership role within a luxury bar, high-end restaurant, or five-star hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including cost control, service flow, and guest experience strategy.
  • Confidence in leading teams, inspiring high performance, and developing individual talent.
  • Ability to work proactively, solve problems, and support the overall commercial and service goals of the venue.
  • Strong communication skills and professional fluency in English, essential for guest interaction and team collaboration.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of hospitality financial systems, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of beverage trends, mixology, and guest engagement through storytelling and service excellence.
  • Experience implementing or refining SOPs and operational standards in a premium venue.
  • A proactive approach to talent development and team culture building.
