Job Title

IT – Hotel Applications Administrator

Position Overview

To assist the Hotel Applications department in the day to day administration and the co-ordination of a variety of different Enterprise systems (including PMS, CRM and CRS). To ensure quality profile data, reliable and consistent data transfer. The system(s) integration aspect of this role will be elaborated over time as each system comes on board where the proposed system(s) and interface may not already exist.

Essential Functions & Physical Requirements

  • Day to day processing of profile information – profile suspension, invalid information, reviewing profile duplication
  • Daily monitoring communications of integrated systems
  • Become familiar with and understand system integration for a variety of different products.
  • Liaise with the Hotels, business analysts and revenue teams to ensure data transfer is successful and error messages addressed and instruct, guide these teams accordingly
  • Data collation and report generation for consolidated profile information - data quality, relationship maintenance, revenue reports
  • Application testing – Opera version control testing, new functionality and application upgrade testing
  • Create and monitor support cases for Opera and integrated products and liaise with 3rd party vendors and support and escalate internally/externally where appropriate.

Qualifications and Desirables

Education

  • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management an asset

 Experience

  • Previous hands-on experience in hotel Front Office, Reservations or Revenue role or a combination of

 Functional Skills, Knowledge

  • Highly computer skilled and knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly developed interpersonal, adaptive and  influencing skils
  • Sound ability and knowledge to develop robust business processes
  • Well organised and priority focused
  • Ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment
  • Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs
  • Able to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the hotel teams
  • Capacity to read situations and respond accordingly
  • A strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages an asset
  • Ability to work across all levels and functions of Dorchester Collection
